NYC Move-Out Cleaning Checklist
Use this list after the furniture is out and before the landlord walks the apartment.

Empty the fridge and oven if you want their interiors cleaned. A crew cannot detail an appliance that is still full.
- Wipe cabinet shelves and fronts
- Clean the sink, counters, and appliance exteriors
- Scrub the bathroom fixtures, tub or shower, and floor
- Vacuum or mop every room on the lease
- Dust baseboards, doors, and windowsills
- Clean interior window glass
- Remove cobwebs from corners and closet ceilings
Tell the building the date. In a walk-up, the floor number belongs on the quote so the cleaners plan the carry.
